Shoreditch theme doesn't allow header image and title
-
I just had an online chat with Erwin at WP support about adding a header image and title to the Testimonials page in the Shoreditch theme. I was told I can’t use the same header image I have used across all other pages on my site, as it’s too large. And I cannot add a title to the page, on top of the header image. The theme demo has both of these things: https://shoreditchdemo.wordpress.com/testimonial/
I was also told it’s not possible for my Testimonials page to look like the demo theme. This is misleading. This feature of the theme is why I chose Shoreditch and WP, rather than Weebly. If this can’t be satisfactorily rectified, I will leave WP and go to your competitor.
Thank you

Hi Rachel!
I can see that the link to “Testimonials” in your menu is currently leading to a single testimonial while the theme’s demo site is leading to a general page for displaying all testimonials on your site.
To get your site to look like the page on the demo site (including the title and header image), I recommend following these steps to update that menu item:
- Navigate to My Site in the top left of WordPress.com
- Select Menus from the left sidebar.
- Click on the pencil icon next to “Testimonials” in order to edit that menu item.
- From the resulting window, select the Link option on the left.
- Enter “http://shinecopy.com.au/testimonial” into the Link Address (URL) field and save all changes.
After you’ve completed the above steps, the “Testimonials” will lead to a page displaying all of your site’s testimonials (currently only one) and will match up with the demo’s design.
Let me know how you get on with those steps, I’ll be happy to help with any extra questions.

Great! Thanks for the solution! Sounds like your team member needed to dig a little deeper or think of another angle to solve it.
Thanks again for your response 😊 -
I’m happy that I could help, Rachel!
I read through your live chat transcript and will have a chat with my team mate.
You know where to find us if any extra questions come up, too. :)
