Shoreditch theme homepage

This is my first WordPress site and I have a few questions about the home page.

On the theme preview, there is text and a clickable button on the banner image. Is this a simple option that I turn on in the page editor?

The preview also shows images that split the content up and stretches across the entire page. I can only get the images centered with the rest of the text.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi,

No, you’ve got to insert the proper button code into to the content of the page with the panel page template assigned to display the button. See the Extras > Buttons section of the Shoreditch theme guide.

The preview also shows images that split the content up and stretches across the entire page. I can only get the images centered with the rest of the text.

I’m not sure what you mean. Your front page looks pretty much like that of the Shoreditch demo. Could you try to describe more clearly the desired effect, where you see it in “preview,” and how the same effect hasn’t been achieved on your site?

  • If you want to use the multi-panel design for Shoreditch as you see on the demo, you’ll need to do a bit more setup. Please follow the setup guide that musicdoc1 linked earlier:

    https://wordpress.com/themes/shoreditch/

You’ll need to select the Panel Page Template for your homepage instead of the Full-width Template you’ve currently selected, then follow the rest of the setup steps.

You’ll then be add a call-to-action button in one of the panels.

If you get stuck at any point in the setup, just let me know and I’ll be glad to help.
