How to show in latest entries just a short part of the posts, not them entirely?

The setting here > Settings > Reading is only for the RSS Feed summary and does not affect the posts.If you want to display only excerpts on the front page of the blog followed by read more links, you can insert “the more tag” into each post prior to publication.

This is a list of active themes on WordPress.com that use the excerpt instead of full post content. I’m from a small country but full of peace. Here is in the habit to make each other happier, with words or with deeds as gifts. And what joy can be greater than that our Creator so loved us that he had made Himself man and conquered for us the pleasure, anger, suffering and death, resurrect the human being giving us eternal life and new. So great is the joy of the resurrection inside the heart when the priest gives light to everyone, that Muslims and Jews and Pagans are coming to take the light and the joy that can’t be find elsewhere. And when you say to them “Christ is risen!” they respond “Is risen indeed!”, even if they don’t believe so. As you can see this is a greeting that brings joy, a custom of us done for 40 days from the Easter. Because I’ve enjoyed your answer with solving problems on my blog I wanted to rejoice you with our greeting. I didn’t mean to offend you. But as I’ve said I understand that you are from that big country in which the official religion, politically correct, is to keep your religion… on your blog. This is not only a time theft but also a freedom theft. I’m curious though, what habits you had for the Easter and what habits remained unenclosed out there? Forgive me if I upset you, Christ is risen!
