Short Refund on cancellation within minutes of subscribing WordPress.com Blogger(new purchase) Annual subscription

    I was charged $36 for this account. Within minutes of activating it I decided to cancel it with full refund and try the free registration option to start with. However, while instead of a full refund, I refunded only $14 against the cancellation; l was charged another $22 for opening Free Registration.

    You registered the domain name meaningfullymeaningless.blog as part of the free domain included with the WordPress.com Blogger Plan.

    When you canceled the plan, you did not elect to also cancel the domain.

    We can cancel and refund the domain within the next 40 hours, but it will be a few months before it appears on the public market. If you are ok with that, just let us know.

    To be clear, the free domain registration is part of the plan, which is why you were not refunded the full cost of the plan when you chose to keep the domain name.

    Thank you for your prompt response.

    Now that I have your attention, may I share the complexity of things that I’ve landed myself in…. The partial cancellation left the domain name meaningfullymeaningless.blog active and I need to cancel this domain immediately to get the refund of the remaining$ 22.

    Subsequently when I re-registered under the Free Registration option I chose a new domain name meaningfullymeaninglessam.blog taking it to be a free service. However I was charged another $22 to the credit card saved on my account (Transaction id [redacted] Dtd. 06/27/2019 charged to card ending 9356). But this payment is not reflecting in my Billing History….So, have I been charged due to some technical glitch? And should this amount be refunded to me?? And how will this be refunded to me
    Please help me understand.

    I have fully canceled and refunded meaningfullymeaningless.blog as requested.

    We have no further transactions under your account, and no trace of meaningfullymeaninglessam.blog in our system, that domain is still available for registration.

    The transaction ID you quoted was for the registration of meaningfullymeaningless.blog which has now been refunded.

    Hi mcmanx!

    Thank you for cancelling meaningfullymeaningless.blog and processing the refund thereof. This cancellation and its refund are now reflecting in my Billing History.

    Now as for the second debit charge of $22, I shall approach my bankers.
