    Some themes do it be default, like the one I use (Chateau).

    But I also learned you could do it for themes that usually display the full text for, say, 10 posts per page (and they have infinite scrolling now, too!)

    When posting, in the “Visual” tab of the text, you will see a little icon on the top row next to the Spell Check button. It looks like two little sheets of paper with a dotted line in between. Click that at the spot where you want the preview snippet to end at the home page of your blog.
