Hi!
I checked our shortcode documentation, but I don’t see a reference to the tab shortcode here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/shortcodes/
Could you explain where you’re finding this shortcode? I don’t believe it’s supported at WordPress.com, but I’d like to see where you’re looking first to confirm!

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
I found this shortcode there:
http://organicthemes.com/demo/purpose/tabs/I think the reason why it does not work is because I am working locally on wordpress.com (which has limitations) instead of working on wordpress.org. Is that right?
Could you help me export my site on bluehost for example?
I already registered on bluehost and I already bought a domain name but I don’t know how to export my site on bluehost…Thanks a lot for your answer!

Thanks for clarifying! The tabs shortcode your references is a special concoction built into that theme so it will not work on the WordPress.com version of that same theme.

That is correct – currently, you have the WordPress.com version of the theme installed which may not have all of the features as the self-hosted version. You can read more about the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here:

I already registered on bluehost and I already bought a domain name but I don’t know how to export my site on bluehost…Sure! We have steps on moving your site (including Exporting your content) here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-to-wordpress-org
Can you take a look at those? If you’re planning on moving to a self-hosted site, would you like me to cancel and refund your theme purchase? Themes aren’t transferrable to self-hosted sites so you would need to purchase the theme separately here:

Thanks for the info!
If I understand correctly, I can’t transfer my theme from wordpress.com to wordpress.org right now. I will have to buy the “purpose” theme in wordpress.org and then transfer the content from WP.com to WP.org (or do I have to restart from the beginning?)
I have to mention smthg else: as I was looking for info on the site WPbeginner.com, they propose me to do the transfer fro free. I found the proposition on this page (just above the video):
http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-properly-move-your-blog-from-wordpress-com-to-wordpress-org/I accepted. Are you working with them? is it going to work?
Thank you for your answer!

Hi Jeremey,
WPbeginner did proceed to the migration of my site from WP.com to WP.org.
As you proposed, could you please cancel and refund my theme purchase so I can purchase a new theme here:Thank you for your answer!

Precisely! We provide an export for your blog content like posts, pages, comments, etc. However, your theme is separate from the site content. We would refund your purchase at WordPress.com, and then you would purchase the self-hosted version of that theme. Does that make sense?
I accepted. Are you working with them? is it going to work?
This is a pretty similar tutorial to the one we have here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-to-wordpress-org
We do not work with WPBeginner. They’re a third-party company.
