Shortcode archive – can the size of dropdown box be changed?

My blog theme Fjords has very narrow columns which mean that the archive shortcode drop down box extends beyond the end of the column. Is there any way to change this? Thanks.

No there is not. The width of the dropdown is determined by the length of your longest post name.
