Shortcode [display posts] doesn't function as I think it should

  Hi,

  I wanted a front page which shows only the blog post about misc topics and collect recipes on a different page. I’ve sorted my blog post with categories and I’m trying to use the short code [display post] with excerpts but when I do that it shows excerpts but they’re all the same. I’ve made a copy of my front page

  this is the code I’ve used.
  [display-posts category="blog" posts_per_page="5" include_excerpt="true"]
  Did I do something wrong? I did search the web and the forums, but I couldn’t find a working solution.

  I’n using the Confit theme because I like the look and feel of the theme. If something similar looking would work beter for my sorting issue, that’s fine by me.
