Shortcode withing shortcode

  Hey there, Im new to wordpress so a lot of the coding I don’t really understand.

  I am developing an affiliate website using Affiliate Enterprise and so far so good.

  I’m trying to devise a way that on the affiliate site to have a facebook link that when clicked will share there affiliate site. ie http://www.mysite.com/?affiliate=5.

  Now I have the shortcode to reference the unique identifier and I also have the shortcode for the facebook link. I would like to place the affiliate url into the facebook share button.

  I have spent 4 days researching forums and have found bits and pieces but due to my lack of knowledge don not really understand it all.

  Is it possible to do something like [facebook url=[affiliate_url]]

  Just trying to make it easy for affiliates to just click a button as opposed to copy & paste.

  I’ve come across something, but again, do not understand, that goes along the line of do_shortcode( $content ).

  Can someone point me in the right direction, or at least help me understand how I can achieve something like this. I don’t think facebook allows this, so it may have to be done via a hack(if thats the right term).
