  Can i use the shortcodes featured in wordpress.com on a wordpress.org site?
  What do I need to do on my .org site to have all the shortcodes listed here:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/shortcodes/

  Have you checked the standalone WordPress documentation? :)

  While it won’t be one-to-one with the list on that WPcom support doc , some additional shortcodes are also available through jetpack. http://jetpack.me/ scroll down until you see the features.

  You should not loose any functionality since you have more code options on a .ORG install – the short codes were developed to give certain functions without exposing your blog to code security issues like the use of iframes which are allowed on .ORG installs
