Shortcut to “Write,” “New Page”?

Is there a one-key shortcut to creating a New Page?

I’m trying to map my genealogy using Pages (and getting very literal with the whole “Parent Page” concept), but I keep finding (once I’ve written out the relevant info about my grandfather Fuming Raisins and want to make his Page the Parent of both my dad, Choleric’s, and my Uncle Ira’s Pages) that I’ve created a new *Post* rather than a new *Page* –
(..,it’s enough to make me carry on like my old Auntie Cross Currants).

Barring that, is there any better way to convert a Post to a Page than copy/pasting the text to a New Page, copy/pasting the title, (saving the new Page if I have any sense at all,) and then deleting the Post?

    Thanks.

There’s no shortcut, sorry to say. You have to do it just the way you have been IF you want to keep using pages, rather than posts.

Bookmark each one and use those?
But for converting there is no more as raincoaster says.

    Thanks, Raincoaster and Mark.

At least I know now that what I’m doing is the easiest way available. :)
