Shortening a post on the main blog homepage

I use my blog wamamakahawa.wordpress.com as the website for my business. In order to show more information on the main page itself, I would like an excerpt of each post to appear on the main page (with a link to “read the rest of this post”) as opposed to the entire post showing. An example of this is http://londonexternal.wordpress.com/. I am not sure which of the categories in your Support Topics I should be looking at to find the answer. Can you kindly show me how to do this and/or point me in the right direction? Many thanks!

That can’t be done automatically, but you can split up your content with a More tag, which it looks like you’ve done.
