Shortlinks button not appearing for new posts

  Hey Everyone.

  when i’m composing new posts, the ‘get shortlinks’ button for posts only appears very rarely. most of the time it’s not there–very annoying. is there anyway to generate the shortlink for a new post if the shortllinks button doesn’t appear?

  It will only appear after you manually save once. At least that is my experience.
