Don’t panick, no one is going to prison for a simple website. Unfortunately you have deleted your site https://castleofwonder.wordpress.com/. This was really not necessary!
You find more info about GDPR at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/about-the-gdpr/.
However, we cannot give specific legal advice about individual sites, as we are not your attorneys. It’s up to you to make your site GDPR compliant. In most cases the existing EU cookie banner is enough. -
And there is additional helpful information for users on GDPR and your WordPress.com site in this support guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/your-site-and-the-gdpr/
You may recover your deleted site, but only for 30 days from date of deletion. If you would like Staff to recover your site for you, please let them know in this forum thread ASAP.
If you are still not certain about your site, you can make your recovered site Private until you are. Here’s how you can change your site’s Privacy settings https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
