Should I do Mapping or Redirect?

  Hey I hav upgrade my account for mapping and Redirecting to my new page over the past couple of days and canceled them both, because I am confused as to what I need. basiclly I want my blog to keep it popularity so I dn’t have to regain an audience from stratch, so I decided to map to my new domain. however, later I saw redirect. So I canceld mapping and bought redirecting. However. I was only loggin 4 views a day. Where I normally got 40 to 50 views on a bad day on my original blog. So, it doesn’t seem like traffic came with me. So can someone point me in the right direction please.

  Mapping directs an external domain to your blog, so folks visiting example.com will see http://thekortneyshanepillar.wordpress.com/

  Site Redirect directs your blog to an external domain, so folks visiting http://thekortneyshanepillar.wordpress.com/ will be sent to whatever site is at example.com
