Should I map my 1&1 domain or move it to wordpress. What is the advantage of moving to WP?

  This is a good question. Personally, I think the biggest advantage is just having your domain and website being cared for in the same space. It limits confusion and makes renewals easier.

  Here’s the different options spelled out:

  1. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
  2. https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/prepare-domain-for-transfer/

  Your domain will need to be have been registered for at least 60 days before you can transfer it to us. This is an ICANN regulation.
