Should I tag my photos?
-
Good morning!
Since I have no other use for my photos exept for the “visualities”, is there a point of writing anything in these fields –
– URL
-Caption
-Title
-Alt. text
-Description
etc…will it help me to get better search results on google if I add any information here?
If this is the case – could someone please tell me which of those fields are the most important ones?
Thank you (:
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It depends. :)
The URL is assigned by WordPress.com when you upload your image, so if you’ve used that already in a post/page, you won’t want to change it.
Caption is nice for visitors depending on what you are displaying and where (post, page, individual image or gallery, etc.). Featured images won’t show captions (to the best of my knowledge).
Title and Alt Text are most important for search engines and text browsers.
Description: if you link/display your images on an Attachment page, this can give your site visitors a bit more information about the image or even be a whole “post” by itself. The Description will display also in the Photo Carousel, which is the default display for images used in the Gallery feature. https://en.support.wordpress.com/gallery/
Most important for you in the long run is to resize and optimize your images in order to maximize your storage space and maintain image clarity. Have a look at this support doc on image optimization https://en.support.wordpress.com/media/image-optimization/ as well as your theme’s Showcase page to have an idea of image sizes used https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/baskerville/
If you need more info on that, just let us know.

Thank you @justjennifer (:
I`ll put in some texture in “title and alt text” then, since I only use featured images. Informative text which connects to my website.
