should I take down wordpress site?

    I recently moved my blog from wordpress.com to its own domain. I left the old blog up because I’m not really sure what to do with it. Now I’ve started getting comments on the old site (which I no longer maintain.) Can I have all of the wordpress.com pages redirected to same page on the new domain. Or should I take down the wordpress site (and how would I go about doing that??) Thanks!

    Set the WordPress.com one to Private on the Settings->Reading page, OR buy the site redirect upgrade for that blog, whichever you like. Make sure the permalinks structure at the new blog is the same as the old one, or the redirect will go to a 404 page.
