Should I transfer my GoDaddy domain to wordpress?

  Gonna try make my own website for new business…should I transfer my GoDaddy domain to wordpress?

  You have two options, you can move it over to WordPress.com (Domain Transfer) or keep it there with GoDaddy (Domain Mapping).

  Domain Mapping vs. Domain Transfer – the choice is absolutely yours. Both methods work just fine.

  With domain mapping – your domain will stay with the current registrar (GoDaddy) and you’ll need to go to their site to manage anything domain related:

  https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/

  Domain transfer – You will be moving your domain entirely to WordPress.com and you be managing everything site related to WordPress.com.
