    Hi there!

    I understand you’d like to use a domain you already own with a WordPress.com site. Is that correct?

    You can both transfer a domain or connect it. It’s completely up to you. A domain connection is included with all WordPress.com plans. If you upgrade to a yearly paid plan, you get one year’s domain registration free (applicable for the first year only).

    You can use that free domain credit to transfer your domain to WordPress.com. When transferring, we’ll renew the domain for another year.
