I have a website, SandraSweeneybooks.wordpress.com and we’ve set it up as a blog too. The guy helping me wants me to transfer it to me (right now he is doing it). I am confused about all this naming stuff. I don’t want something separate from the website. I didn’t think I was leaving anything. He just wants me to be able to go in and answer blogs.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

blog = post based structure
website = page based structurePost based structure or page based structure?
Read about the Characteristics of pages and the Characteristics of posts http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/05/12/better-blogging-at-wordpress-com-pages-and-posts/A blog is a post based website designed for interactive communication. A website is a page based site designed to operate as a one way means of communication ie. a noticeboard.

On one hand, none of the characteristic “blog” features like categories, tags, authors, dates, etc. can be removed from a free hosted WordPress.com blog, without purchasing an annually renewable custom design upgrade and doing the required CSS editing.
