show a list of books that have been reviewed, under the Category "Reviews"

  I have a Category “Book Reviews”. Is there a way to have each book show under that category “Reviews” on the right hand blog menu so folks don’t have to scroll and read thru each book to see what’s been Reviewed?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi,

  Is there a way to have each book show under that category “Reviews” on the right hand blog menu so folks don’t have to scroll and read thru each book to see what’s been Reviewed?

  What I’d recommend here is using the RSS feed widget for your category, and put that in your sidebar. If you go to Appearance > Widgets and select the RSS widget, you can then add that to the sidebar.

  Once it’s in place, put the feed for your category in:

  http://4lawofattraction.com/category/book-reveiws/feed/

  This should display an updating list of posts in your sidebar specific to that category.

  You sure can! Widgets are found on the dashboard under Appearance > Widgets:

  https://4lawofattraction.wordpress.com/wp-admin/widgets.php

  You’ll be looking for the RSS widget.

  that Category on my side bar now has an orange box that when i hover over it it says “syndicate this content” what is that?

  also, now that i’ve added a “sign up to follow this blog” box, do I need to get MailChimp or does WordPress come with something in the background?

  any idea why I now get a note under the Side Bar “books Reviewed”. says –

  “An error has occurred; the feed is probably down. Try again later”
  .

  it was working earlier. does it go down occasionally? everything else is working…

  nevermind, I fixed it. (I had fixed the spelling of a word in title, and forgot to correct it ALSO in the address it used…)

  No, WordPress.com handles the subscriptions for that widget, users who subscribe to your site will receive a notification when you publish a new post. If you prefer to use a service like MailChimp you can, but it would be a separately managed list.

  That’s the icon for the RSS feed you’re displaying. Users can subscribe to your site or to a specific category of your site just as you can use those feeds to display the content on your sidebar.
