Show article summaries on blog front page

  I would like to show a thumbnail and a short summary of each article rather than a preview of the first 100 or so characters on each post.

  Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

  The first paragraph of every post as a summary of the story and the first paragraph of that end with “more” code. Does that mean you?
