How do I show comments?
-
Hello,
I have been trying to set my blog in order to show the comments that I’m receiving. I approved all the comments. I clicked ”comments” into the ”screen options”. I went into ”post” and updated all the post with the option ”allow”. None of this seems to work.
Ideally, I would like that every comments, as soon as approved, to be display right under the post that it’s related to.
Can someone help?
Thanks
Mia

Hey Mia!
You actually need be looking at Settings > Discussion in your dashboard for the rules which concern comment moderation.
Currently, you’ve got the box “Comment author must have a previously approved comment” checked, which means that unless a reader has left a comment on your blog before, you need to manually approve the comment before it’ll appear on your blog. It sounds like you want to uncheck this box to get your blog to work as you’d like.
Let us know if we can be of any more help!

Hi there!
I unchecked the “Comment author must have a previously approved comment” as you suggested. I still don’t see the comments on my blog. Also, is there a way to show the comments that I have already received and approved?
Thank you again.
Mia

Your approved comments are actually visible below the posts they belong to.
Please note that comments are not visible on your homepage, which lists several posts, but on the single posts only.

Thanks for your reply. Is there a way to have the comments posted on my homepage? Thanks. Mia

P2 is our only theme that will display comments on the homepage as well as on single posts. You could take a look at P2 in the Appearance tab of your blog’s Dashboard.
