Why is it that people can comment but the comment don’t show? It says there are comments, but it doesn’t show them on my site (unless you click on the word ‘comments’ under the post).
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s how blogs work. People need to click on “Leave a comment” or “1 comment” etc to read comments or post their own. If comments were always displayed on the front page of sites below each post how would people navigate sites that had hundreds of comments for each post?

I have been to sites where you see the comments posted. The site manages the number of comments seen and there is a “see more comments” link to up-load other comments than those shown.
I want people to want to join into a conversation, not just comment on the post. I know this can be set up to do, I just don’t know how to do it.

You’re posting into the support forum for free sites hosted at WordPress.com. Here there are limits to what can be achieved. Your site isn’t hosted here. As it is using the WordPress.org software anything is possible with the right plugin. Head over to
the correct support forum, register an account and ask there.
