Show Image by Hovering Over Link
-
Is there a way I can get a small image to show of a jpg file when a user hovers over a link to that image?
Currently the user has to click on the link to see the image. It would be great if a small image popped up so the user knew what the link was for.
Any help would be appreciated. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Unfortunately that wouldn’t be possible at WordPress.com – you could probably do this with a plugin of some sort, but you would have to move to the self-hosted, WordPress install to do that.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities. At WordPress.com, we provide hosting, support, and tons of features for blogs. Users also have the option to purchase a variety of upgrades to customize the look and feel of their blog. WordPress.org is a software for self-hosted sites. With WordPress.org, users are provided access to all backend files and can upload custom themes and plugins.
Check here to learn more about the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org:
I did a quick search, and this plugin may be what you are looking for:

However, I’d contact the developers of this plugin to make sure. If you’d like to move to self-hosted, please take a look at the guide below:

As we only support sites hosted here at WordPress.com, all issues with the new site – including the importing of the file – must be taken to the WordPress.org support community:
If you’d like assistance moving your WordPress.com site to WordPress.org, we have a service called Guided Transfer that does all the work for you. Check it out to see if itâs right for you:

Let me know if you have any questions with this!
