Show Korean/Japanese text as sans-serif
-
Hello, I am Kevin Han, a Korean user of WordPress.com
I’m very satisfied with your service and I was wondering whether it can support me with the request that I am about to make. I would like to customize my blog’s text font to Nanum-gothic, a popular Korean web text font, but the WordPress.com’s language font settings doesn’t seem to support any of Asian language font settings.
I just want the text font of my blog to appear as sans-serif type font, but although I have changed the font type to sans-serif on my confit theme, Korean and Japanese characters still keep the form of serif font. I think this problem can be managed with CSS.
I would very much appreciate it if you can tell me how to fix it. I know what CSS is and can follow the guidelines that you have provided but currently I can not deal with the problem that I’m facing with with my own skills.
Thanks!

Hi there,
Changing fonts via CSS is disabled within WordPress.com, however with the purchase of your Custom Design addon, you have access to a wide variety of custom fonts. When you change to any of the sans serif fonts there, does that have the effect which you are looking for? You can make these changes by logging in to your dashboard and then navigating to Appearance >> Customizer >> Fonts.

Hi.
I’ve changed several fonts but they don’t affect to Asian languages. I just solve the problem by adding !important in CSS. Anyway, thanks to your reply :D

Hey there,
Thanks so much for letting me know that this is an option. Neither I nor anyone I consulted with was aware.
Thanks again!
