Show only excerpts & featured images on homepage

  I want my homepage to only show the excerpts and featured images of my last 5 blog posts. I have turned off infinite scrolling, set the feed settings to only showing 5 and only showing excerpts, but still full length blog posts are showing on the front page. How can I change this?

  The blog is fernandthread.wordpress.com

  Hi @helencatriona,

  I guess you’ve set up the post count from Settings menu in your site’s dashboard. Similarly, you can set the excerpt and featured images of the blog posts from Customize menu in the same dashboard.
  Once you click on the Customize menu, your site will be redirected to the customizer setting page and you can find Content Option section in the customizer where you can enable and disable different settings.

  Hi there,

  Your theme does not support automatic excerpts, so if you don’t want full posts to show on the front page you’ll need to use the more-tag to show only part of the post:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/more-tag/

  Not all themes support content options, so please make sure of that before instructing someone to change anything there.
