Add topic to favorites
Dear forum

I have a question about showing the page content.

Atm i use the code below to show the page content
```
<?php if ( have_posts() ) : while ( have_posts() ) : the_post(); ?>

			<?php the_content(); ?>	

		<?php endwhile; else : ?>
			<p><?php esc_html_e( 'Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.' ); ?></p>
		<?php endif; ?>	
```
My issue for now is that the text is shown as plain simple text
All the formatting i used is not showing up

Does any of you know where to find the documentation that can help me to get the formatting to display as well?

If you are using a local install you are using the WordPress.org software.

I’m afraid we can’t help in this forum which is solely for free WordPress.com sites if you’re using the WordPress.org software. There are big differences between the two WordPresses. You’ll need to follow the links already provided.

may i ask what the diference can be?
Wordpress is wordpress right?
whether it is hoster here on wordpress.com or somewhere else?
Anyway i am going to host it here so i dont see the issue

The versions of WordPress at WordPress.com and .org are different. We just want to make sure you get the most appropriate support and your request had characteristics of sites using the .org version.

So i theme made on my own can not be hosted here on WordPress.org?
Does need to know this coz if not pssible i will not develop my own theme for use here lol

It is not usual for a custom theme such as you describe to be hosted HERE at WordPress.COM. However the business plan here does allow custom themes. Here is a description of the plans here (and costs)
Below is a link to a good description of the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org:
Over at WordPress.org is the open source WordPress software – you get a webhost and download the WordPress software and can experiment with customization of the files… and have the support of all the documentation there at

I really think that is more of the developer environment that you want.
