Show posts in summary instead of full text

  On my home page my posts are displayed in full, is there any way to modify it so I could have something like this site?

  Or is this something that is theme/wordpress.org dependant?

  We can split text in several ways in all themes. In each case it’s not automatic. We click the icon and do it post by post. What tour are pointing to is “the more tag”. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/ You can include a thumbnail. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/
