Show Preview of posts on main page

  I know that on some blogs, the posts on the home page are shortened and you have to click through to read the whole thing.

  I was wondering how one does that?

  I want to know because I tend to have a lot of pictures in my posts and my home page get’s awfully long if the posts aren’t shortened.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello there,
  Here are the instructions for splitting contact by inserting “the more tag“. The result will be beginnings of posts on your front page. However, if you have very lengthy posts you can also use other methods to split content like excerpts, pagination (next page) or page jump links.
