Show WordPress.com blog on website.
-
I used to have a Microsfot Office Live website for my small business, PiciScan. On there, I was able to show blog entries from wordpress.com with no problem at all. It would be nice if I could do this in an html based website as well.
For my other small business, PiciFilms, I am currently in the process of building a website in html but a while ago I started building the site in Microsoft Office Live instead. On this page http://picifilms.tech.officelive.com/aboutus.aspx I have integrated the PiciScan blog to show you (sort of) what I am after: I currently have no PiciFilms blog but will start one soon.
So, I guess my question is this: With Microsft Office Live, bringing the blog to my site was easy. Is there a way of showing my blog on an html based website?
I have read other related posts and most people have just said that the only way is to get a wordpress.org blog. But, if Microsoft can do it, it must be possible. But, how?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.com free hosted blogs cannot be embedded into wevsites. Does your website have the ability to draw from an RSS feed? If so, then this is the RSS feed for the blog linked to your user name for posts (entries) http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/feed/ and this is the RSS feed Url for your comments http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/comments/feed/
If your website is NOT equipped to draw from RSS feeds then do be aware we do not provide support for that. We support ONLY wordpress.COM free hosted blogs here.
You will have to write something in PHP or javascript to do that. Here are a couple options:

Hi.
Cheers for your feedback. It didn’t quite answer my problem because it led to places where I would have to pay to get the feed onto my website. Not ideal.
However, what you said got me searching for integrating rss into your website. I found this help which leads you to the Google AJAX Feed API. V. simple and got it working in under five minutes. No writing of php or javascript required.

Sorry to say this again, but it would seem to be possible to embed wordpress.com blogs into websites. Check out: http://picifilms.tech.officelive.com/aboutus.aspx that appears to embed the http://piciscan.wordpress.com blog quite effectively.
The code, though unnecessarily complex at points, when it comes to the blog, shows no sign of javascript. Instead it just seems to list the blog entries as if they are text. If this is do-able in Microsoft Office Live for small businesses, it is presumably do-able elsewhere. I just don’t know how.

It’s my understanding and I have been here almost 5 years that wordpress.com blogs which are not independent but are all on this multi-user blogging platgorm cannot be embedded into any other sites — period. However, free software installs from wordpress.ORG can be.

You will need to ask over at MS Office Live.
Support here is provided only for sites hosted on WordPress.COM. Embedding or putting feeds from a blog here onto another site does not fall under that umbrella.
