Showcase page, featured slider,

    I wanted my website too look like a online magazine… And it said that i do have that option. The showcase page template or featured slider i believe is what it is called. I cannot get it too work.. I did everything it said… and it still will not show up on the front page of my website. My articles are suppose to look like a magazine or slide on the front page and it is not doing that at all! i need help!
