Showing a different number of posts on main page than on category listing

    If I have only 1 post listed on my main page, only 1 post list when I select a category (tag) – then I have to scroll page by page. Is there a way to list multiple pages on the category (especially for those themes that gives a summary vs. the entire post) yet only have 1 or 2 posts listed on the main page? If not, is this a functionality being considered?

    The number of posts that you define in the your Admin => Options => Reading defines all the number of posts. I am not sure if staff are considering this or not, but sending in a feedback to them through your Admin might be the way to go, showing your support.
