Showing blog posts as shorter partials on the main blog page

  How do I do a post that on the main blog page/feed will show just the first part of the post with a Read More link for the whole post?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Either choose a theme that does this automatically or use the More tag http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

  Thanks! I had misunderstood that button in New Post and the support information I couldn’t find.
