Showing excerpt for posts

    Currently struggling with the aesthetics of my “Posts” page. My website is a personal lifestyle blog, and for the posts I want them to be as accessible as possible. I’ve created custom excerpts for each post, but when you click on the “posts” page it displays one of my blog posts in full. I would prefer if it was just the title and the excerpt for each blog post, will the option to click on them and read them whole. So, then the reader won’t have to scroll all the way through the entirety of a post just to find the other ones written.

    Hi there,

    I looked in to your blog & found you’re using bushwick theme.

    The reason why you are not able to show excerpts is might because your theme does not allow excerpts feature.

    I just want to add one more point, Bushwick allow custom excerpts however Bushwick will display it between the title and the content, to give readers a quick summary of the content.

    Hi @lovelivmarie,

    As @tarunvijwani noted, Bushwick treats custom excerpts a little differently to “the norm”. Instead of displaying a custom excerpt in place of a post’s content on the blog page, it will highlight it between the post’s title and content. You can get an idea of what this would look like from the “Custom Excerpts” of the theme’s documentation.

    If you’re prefer a theme that displays custom excerpts in place a post’s content on the blog page, you could consider switching to a different design. You can filter for themes that support custom excerpts by default via the following URL:
