Showing latest post on Home Page

Last night I ticked a box ‘somewhere’ that said to show the latest blog on the home page, this is not what I wanted and I now cannot find where to undo this change. Under the blog it reads ‘front page is showing your latest posts’ how do i switch this option off please?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Howdy –
No problem. The post publications can be assigned to any page with in the site and by default they get assigned to the front page.
Have you already created the page that you want the posts to be published on to instead of the front page?
Click on My Sites – Pages – Add
Then follow these steps to set up an alternate post page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

Fabulous thank you! I fixed the problem of the post going on the Home page.
I made a new post and set up for Posts to go on a new static page I called “Latest News”
I made this page “top level under attributes but it is not showing in the top bar.
are you able to help with this too please?many thanks
