I changed my password. Now WP doesn’t recognize me as having a website.

What is the exact URL starting with http:// of the site you are referring to please?
This is wordpress.COM support. We cannot answer any questions posted here accurately until we have the relevant URL and have confirmed hosting. Note that about 30% of those who post here daily are posting to wrong support forum and the answers to wordpress.COM and WordPress.ORG support questions are not the same.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, support docs and support forums, run different theme versions of themes with the same names, and many people get confused about the two. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. We cannot provide support for sites that are not on our servers. Our support docs do not apply to
(1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
(2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM. That support is found at http://wordpress.ORG/support/
(3) sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page. That support is found at http://jetpack.com/support/The wordpress.ORG support forums are at http://wordpress.org/support. The wordpress.ORG login link is here https://login.wordpress.org/ If you do not have an account yet then click Create an account https://login.wordpress.org/register/ and if you have lost an account password click Lost password? https://login.wordpress.org/lostpassword/

Thanks for responding, Timetheif
My website address is:
http://www.craftnomad.com
I was eventually able to get to the admin page through Blue Host.
But I should be able to access through WordPress, as well.
As for Jetpack, I didn’t know there was a problem. I will disable that, I think it is not necessary. However, If it is a problem, maybe WordPress should stop promoting it on the dashboard. The same goes for Sumo. I get emails from them all the time. Yet, the plug in can’t really work without SEO function being set up first. That’s an issue for another post.Joy

Hi there,
That site is not on our servers, so we have no control at all over your login to that site. The username and password for your site are set in the site’s database on Bluehost’s servers. Should you ever lose access again, you can find the instructions to reset the password for that version of WordPress here:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
But I should be able to access through WordPress, as well.
To access the site via your WordPress.com account you need to have the Jetpack plugin installed and connected to your account. Currently there are no Jetpack-connected sites in your account.
To log into the WP-Admin dashboard with Jetpack you need to have Single Sign-on active, otherwise you’ll still need the Admin password you set for the site to sign into the dashboard itself.
Note that by disabling Jetpack you lose the ability to manage your site via the WordPress.com interface, you lose Jetpack’s security features, as well as subscription email, WordPress.com Likes, Sharing buttons and Widgets, stats, and the SEO functionality Jetpack adds to your site. It’s not something you have to use, but it’s an incredibly powerful plugin that does the work that would take several other plugins to replicate if you don’t use it.

Very informative. I obviously don’t understand JetPack. From what you say, I should not have Sumo. The one problem I have with JetPack is that when trying to set up Yoast for SEO with Google, they say you have to disable JetPack to get through authentication with Google. I don’t know, none of this makes sense to me. But thanks.

I did not say anything about Sumo :)
I’m not familiar with that plugin at all and don’t have any idea what it does, so I can’t tell you whether you need it or not.
It’s very possible that one plugin might require you to disable another plugin in order to use, connect or authenticate it. Plugins often have code that conflict with each other, which is a good reason not to use plugins that duplicate each other’s functionality. In case of Yoast, that can very well conflict with the SEO functionality that’s already in Jetpack – the two plugins basically do the same thing.
If you want to use Yoast, I’d recommend at least disabling the SEO functions in Jetpack.
If you want to find out more about possible conflicts between Jetpack and other plugins, I’d recommend asking in the Jetpack forum on WordPress.org where the experts can help you with this:

Thanks Kokkieh. I will check into that. I might try disabling all the plug ins and resetting them one by one if needed. I will check out the JetPack forum first.
WordPress forums are the first forums I’ve ever used that are actually helpful. Nice!

I’m glad if it helped :)
Our ability to help with self-hosted issues are limited, though, as most of us here don’t use self-hosted WordPress much, myself included, so our knowledge and experience are limited. I hope you can get the answers you need in the .org forums.
