showing # of posts in each category?

How can I show the number of posts that I have in each category? It would be nice for readers to know how many posts are in each category before they click on them. Thank you

If you go to your blog Admin => Presentation => Sidebar Widgets and then drag all the widgets your want into your sidebar (as it is most likely using default sidebar now) then you will see the edit button by the ‘categories’ widget. In those options is a checkbox to show ‘post count’. Make sure you ‘SAVE’ after editing and positioning all widgets!

I’m having a problem getting this working myself. I’m configuring the widget, clicking off the configure area, and saving the options. Only they aren’t being saved. If I configure the widget before saving, it shows the box as checked, but once I save and check it again, the box is unchecked.

If I get rid of my widget layout entirely and use the default sidebar, the Categories are displayed with the number of posts, but the default layout isn’t really what I want.

Any suggestions? I *think* I left feedback about this. I know I typed it in and hit submit, but didn’t notice any confirmation dialog, so I’m not sure it went through.
