Robyn, I saved the emails from the last time you helped me change my gravatar image. I followed the steps exactly and even cleared my cache twice! It isn’t working for me (I’m trying to update my image). I don’t know what I am doing wrong. Please help. Thank you.

To change your Gravatar and make it visible on your site, make sure you’re logged into WordPress.com, and then click here:
https://wordpress.com/me/public-profile/At the bottom of the page, you’ll see, “Choose which sites you would like to add to your profile.” Click to add your site, pricelessjoy.wordpress.com.

Hi Robyn. I am just now seeing your reply to my help request. Seems all of my emails have been going into my “JUNK MAIL” files and I just discovered it this morning. I am having problems with my Avatar/Gravatar and I noticed that we now have to download something (which I did). Then I read that you have to have certain themes in order for your gravatar/avatar to show up. Mine finally showed up on my theme but it isn’t showing up when I like or comment on other people’s blogs. Is there something I can do to make my gravatar/avatar show up on my comments and likes of other people. I can’t afford to buy a theme but I am willing to pay something to make it possible. If it doesn’t cost too much.

I am having problems with my Avatar/Gravatar and I noticed that we now have to download something (which I did).
This is not true. You do not have to download anything to use your Gravatar. You may have been looking at instructions that only apply to self-hosted, WordPress.org sites. Be careful when you’re looking for instructions. Only go to the WordPress.com support page, here:
Is there something I can do to make my gravatar/avatar show up on my comments and likes of other people. I can’t afford to buy a theme but I am willing to pay something to make it possible. If it doesn’t cost too much.
There is not cost for this. You simply need to be set up properly.
Have you already followed my instructions from my earlier note? If you need another copy of them, here you go:

Robyn, thank you so much for your help! I went into the url: https://wordpress.com/me/public-profile/ and the round profile image at the top shows the “mystery person” and not my image. But at the bottom it shows my avatar that I selected. I even tried selecting it again and uploading the image again.
The url: pricelessjoy.wordpress.com only goes to my scrolling blog posts and not to add sites.
I think that “add sites” is in the https://wordpress.com/me/public-profile/ at the bottom where it says, “Add WordPress Sites” if we are talking about the same thing that is.
I cleared my cache 3 times yesterday but I didn’t clear it today. Could that be why my avatar is still not working when I load it with your instructions today??

I forgot to tell you, yes, I did follow your previous instructions, over and over and couldn’t get them to work. I tried several times to follow these instructions, but it still isn’t working.

Hey there!
You should be all set now. A colleague of mine noticed that you had your Gravatar set with a PG rating. This means it will not display on all sites. You should set your Gravatar as G-rated, if you want it to be able to appear everywhere.
I downloaded a copy of the image, reloaded it, and labeled it as G-rated. That made the magic happen.
You should delete the PG rated version of the same image in your Gravatar account. Here:
https://secure.gravatar.com/emails/If you hover over the thumbnails, you’ll see the image ratings. Delete the ones you don’t need.
That should do the trick! Let me know.

Thank you so much Robyn! I noticed they were all showing up all of a sudden. I did not realize that it needed to be a G rating (which I am pretty sure mine is anyway). Thanks for all the hard work! I hope they give you a big fat raise! (And your colleague).

Robyn, I hate to bother you via the back door, but I have a problem with my blog. One of my followers says she is not able to comment on my blog. It gives her this message, “Sorry, that comment cannot be posted.” She says she is able to comment via her phone. Could this also be happening with other people trying to comment on my blog? How can I fix this? Thank you Robyn!

Hope you’re well :) I was able to comment on your blog without any difficulty. Your settings look great. No problems there.
I’d suggest two things: have your commenter try to comment on another WordPress.com site. You’re welcome to use mine: http://thatrobyn.com for the experiment.
Next, if the visitor is still having difficulty, she should contact s directly. It looks more as if the issue is occurring on her end, rather than on your site. We can serve her if we can communicate with her one-on-one.
