Showing pictures in succession, one at a time, with links

  There is a feature at this blog: http://www.vanityfair.com/online/daily/2009/08/dominick-dunne-obituary.html
  that I would like to have, if it is possible with the VIGILANCE template.

  I would like to be able to show several to many pictures by clicking numbers or the Forward/Backward button.

  Is this possible? If it is not possible in VIGILANCE, is there a fairly simple HTML code that I could copy down and use?

  Or am I dreaming for the moon?

  If you’re talking about a post, you can use the next-page tag between each image and the next. That’ll give you numbered pages.

  I know Vanity Fair’s online chief dude. Do you have ANY idea how many thousands of dollars a week they spend on that site? Short answer: no, there is nothing in WordPress.com that will give you that smooth functionality.
