Showing Title of Website over Image comes with a black rectangle

How do I get rid of that black rectangle? It is too big and destroys the picture.
If this needs a CSS entry, where do I put it? Am new to WP …The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

okay, I see!
Which WP plan do you have? Because you can remove this rectangle adding the line in css:
.site-branding {
background: transparent !important;}But you can’t do this on the free plan…
If your plan is free – you can tell me the name of your theme and I’ll try to find, may be it allows to change the background of your title without css…

Thank you for looking at this. We are just a shall youth theatre company. I have just started with this website. We are on a free plan… Which plan would we need to change the CSS?
-
You would need Premium plan for editing you CSS (it’s $8.25 per month).
But may be you can edit this with your theme instruments even at your plan. You can tell me the name of the theme or check by yourself here:
in the left column you have section Personalize – Theme – Customize. There you can find different kinds of changes that you can make.Best regards,

Hello Olga,
Thank you! I currently use Hemingway and I have checked everything, I believe… No chance ;-)
Maybe i just have to give a different theme or convince my fellow members to bite the bullet and buy into a plan…
Cheers
RainerPS: or use Photoshop and put the title in the picture. Not so good for mobile, though…

Hi, Rainer!
I checked your theme, you are right, no chance to change the color without CSS…
So yes, the variants that you’ve mentioned – are the only one that I can imagine…
Good luck with choosing then :) (or with convincing ;) ) And you can always ask for help if you need some more!
Best wishes,
Olga -
