Showing Unwanted Multiple Themes
-
Hello,
I’m new to WordPress. I tried to set up a website last year and gave up. I’m picking it up now and starting from scratch. I’m doing a free site for now so have no plug-ins. The option isn’t even available to me. I’ve deleted all WordPress cookies. I selected a Theme and it’s showing a previously selected them when I look at the site but only the one theme i was is saying is active. I’m so lost and feeling overwhelmed because I’ve barely done anything and I’m already running into problems! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
What is the theme you’re trying to use?
Your site at http://antoinettedivittorio.wordpress.com/ currently has the Karuna theme active, and that’s the theme I see when I look at the site as well.
Note that when you activate a theme it won’t change the layout of your site. It only enables the design. You then need to set up your site according to the theme’s instructions to have it look like the demo for the particular theme.

Thanks for your response. When I go to the site, it has the Karuna theme at the top of the page but then the rest of the page is set to a blog theme called Twenty Twenty One. I set it to this initially to see what it would look like and then changed it to Karuna. Or at least I’m trying to.

I’m seeing the Karuna theme on all your published posts and pages.
You should try clearing your browser cache and see if that resolves the issue:

If you’re still having this problem, please take a screenshot of the problem in question. If you’re not familiar on how to take a screenshot, this support document will help explain how to make one:
Then, use a service like Snipboard.io to upload the screenshot and then share the image link from that service here and we’ll take a closer look.
Thanks!

I’ve never used one of those applications. So I downloaded cloudapp and couldn’t figure out how to save a screenshot once captured. It wasn’t automatic like the tutorial said it would be. I was able to make a video though. The link to that is here: https://share.getcloudapp.com/GGuWz9Oj
All of the painting stuff and related blog post are from the twenty twenty one template.

That is the content of your front page.
When you activated Twenty Twenty-One while trying out different themes, you selected the option to create the default homepage included with the theme. Doing that creates a page with some demo content.
When you change themes again, that demo content is not removed, because it’s content, not part of the theme’s design. If you edit your front page, you’ll be able to remove/modify that content however you want.
Go to My Site ->Pages. You’ll see three pages titled Home there: two currently set to draft, and one that’s published and set as the front page. Edit that one to change what’s currently showing on your site’s front page.
