Showing wrong first page

  When I call up my site, it shows the wrong first page. But if I click on home. t corrects itself.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I think what you want to do is have a static front page. Follow the instructions in this support doc: http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

  That worked perfect. I’m trying to to do the same with my about page, but it didn’t work. The reason I’m trying it is because I don’t want side menu at all.

  Your theme has a full width page template. Go to All Pages, click on Edit or Quick Edit for any page you want full-width, and select the option under the Templates heading. Update the page and it should no longer show the sidebar.

  Can I not have my text over the image on my about page, like it does on the home page?

  You’ve set the blog to private so I can’t see anymore what you’re talking about. But I imagine that’s a feature of your theme and I’m afraid I don’t have any experience with your theme. Try starting a thread in the theme forums for that and make sure to include your theme’s name in the thread topic.
