showing WWW in URL for mapped domains?

    Dear WP team!

Please ignore my support request from yesterday. This is fixed. I successfully mapped my WP blog to my domain.

Just one question: If somebody does enter “www.bildwerkstatt.ch”, after landing on my WP page, the URL showed changes to “bildwerkstatt.ch” instead of “www.bildwerkstatt.ch”. I know that this is okay from a technical point of view. But some of my customers got irritated about that.

So my question is if it is possible to simply keep showing the “www” in the URL?

Your feedback is very appreciated, thank you so much!

    Regards,
    Dietmar Bachmann

WordPress.com always redirects the www subdomain to the non-www version. Because of this, you can still use www version of your custom domain on your signature or business cards if you’d like, but it’s not possible to disable the redirect.
