To avoid confusion, there are three different “WordPress” at play here:
1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.Since your site is not hosted with us, we’re limited in what we can help with and advise. We also don’t have any access to nor the ability to affect anything on your website. But I can get you pointed in the right direction to get help.
If you want to recover data from the Shrink the Web platform, you would need to contact their support directly. However, a quick Google search brought up their website with the following message:
ShrinkTheWeb has been taken offline.
The world will only get worse before it gets better. Prepare yourselves.
NOTE: ALL billing has ceased and ALL subscriptions cancelled. There will be no further billing for ANY prior customers.
Therefore, if you didn’t have any backups of your information, I’m afraid it would not be recoverable. You could try pulling up your site on the Internet Archive to see if they may have that information cached, but it’s not a guarantee if the original source is not available.
