shut off RSS?

  Hello,

  Is it in any way possible to completely disable your RSS feed?

  Not that I know of. You can change it to summary instead of full, but that is the only option.

  Why do you want to? (maybe there’s a work around)

  for privacy reasons i’d like to free myself of certain subscribers…but i’d rather not have to write privately all the time in order to do so. plus, i’m a human klutz who sometimes manages to save private entries as public — at which point it’s too late to save anything, even a summary, from being sent out via RSS. i think turning off RSS would just be a nice option to have.

  I was going to suggest setting your RSS feed to 0 at Dashboard -> Options -> Reading -> ‘Show the most recent’ but I note that it automatically resets itself to ‘1’.

  Hmmm….

  Feedback sent with a suggestion. Only way I can see it is if you were to set your blog at Dashboard -> Options -> Privacy to ‘I would like my blog to be visible only to users I choose’ since the RSS feed is blocked unless you’re logged on.
