Shutdown a blog after some one has passed away

  I have a dear friend that passed away and their family would like to shutdown their blog. Can some one please help me with who we can contact to begin this process? We will provide any needed documentation. They were a very private person and only a few people knew about this blog, but in the event of their death many people are now privy to personal information they never would have shared. Any help you could provide would be very appreciated.
