  Hi, I want to display my recent posts in the sidebar on my homepage. But when I changed the settings to a static homepage the sidebar disappeared. Could anyone guide me how to get back the same?

  Please note that I do not have access to any widgets as I use a free site.

  Hi there,

  The Dara theme you’re using doesn’t display a sidebar on the static front page. The sidebar only displays on the Blog view, and on pages that use the default template and that aren’t set as the front page.

  This is explained under the Widget Areas heading at https://wordpress.com/theme/dara/

  If you want the Latest Posts widget to be visible on the front page, the only way to do it with this theme is to add it to the footer instead.
