side bar not displaying
-
I added a follow via email widget to my sidebar but the side bar is not displaying – it is just showing the full width template and I can’t see where to change this. I’ve only just begun setting this up and thought the side-bar was default?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It should appear if you’ve added it to the sidebar.
Try this, go here:
https://wordpress.com/customize/sewhappie.wordpress.comThen Widgets > Sidebar and add the widget you want to the sidebar. Don’t forget to click Save & Publish.
This will also instantly show you the preview as you add/remove widgets to the sidebar, so you’d know if they’re appearing fine or not.

Thanks – that’s werid. That is exactly what I did. But it wasn’t showing on the front end. I could see that the follow blog widget was saved and installed in the sidebar in the back end, but not displaying.
I tried deleting it and doing those steps again and now it appears.
Thank you.

@ bluekangeroo,
Where the sidebar widget area displays depends upon the screen size, and zoom settings. It displays in the sidebar on my 12″ x 9″ screen at the default zoom setting (Firefox 38.0.5), but displays below the posts stream, containing one post presently, if I zoom in three clicks.
